December 2025 Margaret’s Notes

Happy Holidays

As I write this on a Sunday morning in the midst of finishing decorating the house, buying Christmas gifts, having company and planning for more company, while trying to keep my faith and purpose of the holidays in sight too; I want to look back over the year and accountably share how I did.  In January’s Margaret’s Note, I shared with you some of my goals for 2025. You kept me accountable by checking in and sharing some of yours which were interesting and inspiring.

I was committed to getting into shape and staying healthy enough to avoid replacing both my knees. I am happy to report that I still have both my knees and that I am in better shape than when I started the year. My commitment to that meant rushing around like a mad woman at times to make my training sessions after work. I was often cursing myself on the rush to the gym from the office but then was always happy after the session.  I know that I must continue this habit in the future, if I want to preserve my health. That’s the good news!

I will continue to need to work on playing more with family and friends and to stop rushing around like my hair is on fire in 2026. My husband, Gennaro, is thankfully back from his tour in the Middle East now, which is much needed for our family. (Plus, our youngest doesn’t drive yet but is an active sophomore in high school.)  Our firm became very busy by the end of the summer, with a noticeable increase in potential new client calls. Our current and past clients have priority, but I ask for your patience and understanding as I try to get some work/life balance back and also for the staff.  We will be largely closed between Christmas Eve and New Years.  We are closing early on the 24^th, reopening on the 29^th and 30^th and then closing again until January 5^th.  I am looking forward to spending time with my family, (which we really need after Gennaro’s deployment), cooking, and sleeping.

Regardless of what you celebrate at this time of year, we hope that you will take time with your family and friends and enjoy the important things of life. We look forward to connecting in 2026!
