Summer, July 4th, and World Cup
Hopefully, this finds you enjoying the summer, whether that is taking vacation time, celebrating our 250th anniversary on July 4th, or cheering on the USA and other teams in the World Cup. Summer is always a wonderful time of the year, even with our heat here in Arizona.
Our family has been keenly watching the World Cup, and I have been getting friends and family into it too. Before the 4th of July, I was in Seattle and got to participate in the festivities around the stadium when Belgium and Senegal were playing. It was a lot of fun. I almost extended my trip to stay for the USA v. Belgium game today, but the tickets were just too expensive for someone who isn’t a fanatical soccer fan. I am a soccer fan by proximity. I have been watching soccer since living in London 30 years ago, and then our eldest daughter started playing soccer at age 5. I always have a soft spot for goalies due to all the years of watching her play and how much pressure goalies are under.
In this newsletter, you will hear from Chelsea Sweeney, a new member of our team who has already been a fantastic addition. Please welcome her and say hello if you have not had a chance to speak with her yet. She is our second team member who grew up loving the Hulk—not sure what that says about us. I’m going with we are creative and did not grow up as girly girls.
We may be short staffed over the next month or so due to time off over the summer.
