Margaret’s Notes

by: C. Margaret Tritch

I love the end of October. It is a time for introspection, cooking in your crock pot, reading books, and enjoying the change of season. Now is the time to slow down and enjoy nature’s beauty. Our last big trip for the year was earlier this month. My family (without our son, who sadly did not have Fall Break) and I met in England earlier this month for much needed time together and explored new areas. We had a wonderful time in London, Cambridge and Walberswick, but I am happy to be done traveling for the year and can stay home in hibernation mode.

This newsletter focuses on business and is meant to help our existing business clients and those that may be thinking of starting a business or formalizing their side hustle. We are including articles about the importance of LLC and Corporate Formalities.

This is also a reminder that the end of year is fast approaching, and the Corporate Transparency Act’s fines and enforcement is set to start on January 1, 2025, for companies that you have had since before 2024. We have written several articles and been messaging this out to clients since January of this year when it went into effect. If you have a company, whether it be a Partnership, LLC or Corporation, the Act applies to you! Please ensure you are in full compliance!  We will send you the government’s step-by-step filing instructions, which are easy to follow. If you need these, please call Julio and he will happily email them to you.
